WHO WE ARE
NLC General Pest Control Sdn. Bhd. was established in 1974 by Mr. Richard Ng. Now serving as Managing Director, Mr. Richard Ng has more than 40 years of hands on experience in pest control. Beginning as a small scale operation, he has successfully developed the company into a leading pest control company in Malaysia. He is also the co-founder of the Pest Control Association of Malaysia (PCAM) and had served as Deputy President from 1995 to 2001 and as President from 2002 to 2003.

Over the years of operation, NLC has always emphasized on providing quality, effective and environmental-friendly pest control services aimed at protecting our customers’ property whilst promoting a healthy living environment. Our track records have won us numerous loyal customers and recognitions. In addition, our expertise in termite control was duly recognized by the industry when we were appointed as an Authorized Operator for Sentricon* - Termite Colony Elimination System by Dow AgroSciences (M) Sdn. Bhd. in the year 2000. We were also appointed by Bayer Environmental Science as an Authorized Applicator for Agenda 2.5 EC termiticide in the year 2002.

In October 2004, Termguard Pty. Ltd., an Australian based company had appointed NLC as their licensee in Peninsular Malaysia. This has been extended to cover Sabah and Sarawak in 2006. The appointment includes the rights to market, install and maintain their product known as TERMGUARD*. Termguard offers homeowners and developers a unique and long term retreatment system against the subterranean termites. With the support of our loyal customers, business associates and distributors, we are confident of gaining nationwide recognition. NLC will continue to grow and is committed to providing quality and effective pest management solutions to our customers.

Currently, there are about 2,500 identified species worldwide with thousands of species found in Malaysia. However, only a small portion of them are pests to buildings and structures. The most common and economically important termites belong to the subterranean species especially the Coptotermes sp. and Schedorhinotermes sp. with the former being the most destructive species causing about 90% termite related damages to the buildings in Malaysia.

Other species such as Macrotermes sp., Microtermes sp., Globitermes sp. and Nasutitermes sp. are also often encountered in our living environment and usually regarded as garden termites due to their activities are mostly at the compound or outdoor area. Termites usually gain entrance into building through cracks and crevices, following the electrical or pipeline system. It is estimated that multi millions were being spent each year in Malaysia on termite management and the total repair cost of termite damage is approximately two to three fold of the total control cost.
